Buyers for China dominated this week's sales.

Sales will be held in Sydney, Melbourne and Fremantle next week, when 45,309 bales are currently rostered for sale – 27.0% less than in the same sale last year.. Present estimate for the following sale (Week 25) is 43,800 bales. The latter is the last sale before the three week Christmas break. There was no sale in Week 25 last year.

The New Zealand Merino Company will offer 3,193 bales in Melbourne next week.

In South African sales, where 10,305 bales were on offer, the Cape Wools Indicator was up by 4.2% since last week against a 4.0% depreciation of the Rand against the US Dollar and a 1.5% depreciation against the Euro.
