JFW-Japan to exhibit eco fabrics range at Interstoff Asia Essential

As customer awareness of and demand for quality textiles continues to increase amidst the economic challenges of 2009, Interstoff Asia Essential in Hong Kong will offer exhibitors a platform to showcase their latest fabrics.

The spring edition of the fair is confirmed to display an impressive range of international cutting edge sustainable designs for three days from 18 March 2009 at the Hong Kong Exhibition and Convention Centre. Some of the confirmed exhibitors include A&A, Akko, BASF, Cotton Inc., Ishinco, Fabrix Plus, Flourish Textiles, GCC Group, JFW-Japan Creations, K and F, Mozartex, Samsung Fashion & Textiles, Sapphire Textile Mills, Silk Tech, Taiyo-Sen-I, Teijin, Union Knopf, Wellen, and Yuen Hing Cotton.

“The textile business has been greatly affected by the slowing economy. As promoters of quality functional and eco-friendly textiles made in Japan, we are looking to develop our business on a global scale,” said Ms. Yuko Watanabe International Coordinator for JFW-Japan Creations.

Ms. Watanabe continued to explain the importance of exhibiting at this season's fair, “sustainability is inevitable in this industry and we believe that this fair is an excellent platform for us to promote our eco fabrics to international buyers and agents. Our main target countries are from Europe and the US. As a second time exhibitor, we feel that we will once again meet with our expectations at the event.”

Top Asian buyer associations confirm participation
Exhibitors are preparing to present their latest textiles and functional fabrics to a number of confirmed buyer associations from Vietnam: the Association of Garment-Textile-Embroidery-Knitting; India: Apparel Export Promotion Council and; Bangladesh: Bangladesh Knitwear Manufacturers and Exporters Association. A group of top garment brand buyers from China covering casual wear, sports wear, swimming wear, underwear, men and women's fashion will also be invited to the show.

As well as sourcing quality fabrics from top manufacturers, Interstoff Asia Essential Spring, will host a range of informative seminars on the subjects of sustainability and eco-friendliness.

In addition to providing an eco-textile forum, fair organiser, Messe Frankfurt will display a trend forum that reflects the Spring / Summer 2010 season textile trends.

The next edition of the show will be held from 18 – 20 March 2009 in the Hong Kong Convention & Exhibition Centre.
