TEX-STYLE to assist exhibitors & buyers with 'Arrange a Meeting'

The chances fashion trends for being accepted on the market will also be discussed. In addition, the experts will address the questions of where the trade in Poland is heading and what significance brands have in the retail trade, including how to create them. New trends in promoting companies will be presented. The subject of Visual Merchandising will be elaborated on during seminars on the significance of elements aimed at the direct display of garments – i.e. hangers and mannequins – in creating a retail image in the eyes of a customer.

• Project FUTURE – Clothes for Tomorrow
Each year about 1000 people complete fashion design studies in Poland – after one year 10% are working in the profession, after 10 years barely 1%. Project FUTURE, realized under the direction of designer Ilona Kanclerz, gives debuting designers a chance to make their presence known in the trade and enter into cooperation with clothing manufacturers. Participation in Project FUTURE prepares future designers for the difficult struggles that await them on the clothing market.

For project participants it is their first real test with creativity and entrepreneurship – designers prepare each element of their fair presentation individually – from designing and making the collection, through to arranging their exhibit and preparing a show.

The TEX-STYLE in March will see the 10th edition of the project. The FUTURE space will again be filled with original collections created based on extraordinary ideas, original patterns and innovative, at times very daring, structural solutions produced by 20 designers, who are just beginning their professional adventure in fashion.

Awards Gala
On the first day of the fair – 3 March at 14:30, during the Awards Gala prestigious awards will be handed out: PIF Gold Medal for the best products characterized by esthetic, functional and outstandingly distinctive innovation, as well as the Acanthus Aureus for companies whose booths were the best designed and prepared for realizing their marketing strategies during the fair. Also handed out at the same time will be awards in the second edition of the contest organized by publisher Promedia – Fashion Website Awards 2009 for the best fashion Internet website.

During the fair exhibitors will present collections of over 350 brands of women's, men's, teenage, children's, festive and evening fashions, lingerie, bodywear and various accessories for Fall and Winter 2009/2010.
