COMEZ has made available a range of machines which are especially suited to producing a countless number of articles for technical use: ribbons, bands, plain and tubular fabrics, 3-D fabrics, plain and tubular netting, which are employed in a multitude of varied applications in several sectors like medical, geo-textile, building, automotive, industrial, transport, sports and leisure, furniture, etc.

COMEZ is a global leader in the technology of
• crochet knitting machines
• weaving needle looms
• electronic double needle bed warp knitting machines in addition to
• softwares for pattern programming.

COMEZ machines present ideal characteristics for the production of technical textiles:
• a high degree of versatility when using special yarns, which can be processed safely while maintaining high operating speeds (natural yarns such as wool and cotton, special yarns such as Kevlar, aramid and glass fibres, copper and zinc yarns, etc.);
• COMEZ machines can produce a wide range of warp weaves (such as closed knit tricot, open knit tricot, closed chaining effect, open chaining effect) which confer to the fabric excellent characteristics in dimensional stability or three-dimensional effects;
• thanks to the exclusive use of the COMEZ electronic drive system, it is possible to obtain very long and varied pattern repetitions and special effects on fabrics, guaranteeing a constant and uniform yarn feed.

The following machine will be displayed in the COMEZ stand at TECHTEXTIL 2009 on 16 – 18 June at Frankfurt, Germany (COMEZ STAND H02 - HALL 3.0).

COMEZ CLX/EL Innovative high efficiency electronic needle loom, protected by international patent, for weaving rigid and elastic ribbons.

COMEZ CLX/EL derives from an exclusive COMEZ design, offering:
• the application of innovative electronics, with all-new hardware and software
• a robust and compact structure that is easy to use and simplifies maintenance operations
• smooth operation with noise reduced to a minimum and complete absence of vibrations
• high productivity and reliability.

Designed for the production of a wide range of plain and tubular ribbons, both rigid and elastic, intended for use in various fields for technical use. Worth a mention the high resistance and tenacity ribbons with compact structure, elastic bandages with "Leno" effect for medical use, ribbons with variable section.

COMEZ CLX/EL is fitted with the new SMART MATRIX CONTROLLER governing the latest generation of actuators. It manages all necessary machine functions, monitors production data and allows for the use of numerous electronically controlled devices (take-up system, feeders, etc.). This allows the CLX/EL loom to produce exclusive high quality ribbons not obtainable with other types of looms.
