British Wool launches New Consumer Website

British Wool has launched a new website to promote British Wool and its attributes in products to consumers.

Designed to be stylish and easy to use, the website aboutwool.com features key information to inform the consumer of the many benefits of choosing wool. It also features the British Wool 'Look Book' which offers inspiration through room imagery to showcase to consumers how wool carpet can bring floor style to the home.

British Wool licensed manufacturers are listed with click and connect direct links to their corporate websites in order to keep the consumer in a smooth, quick and easy process.

“More and more consumers are using the internet to research and select products for their home, we wanted to ensure that British Wool had accessible product information presented in a stylish, user friendly way for today's savvy internet shopper.” Explained Irfan Khan, Promotions Manager at the British Wool Marketing Board.

The website is a natural progression from the BWMB's 'About Wool for Carpet' brochure, which has been widely distributed internationally and has now been translated into five languages.

“Our About Wool brochure has been very well received by the industry because it highlights the natural assets of wool in a very straightforward way. Aboutwool.com is an extension of this approach and it is intended to persuasively inform consumers as they consider their purchases at home and ultimately benefit the wider wool industry.”
