HurricaneFabric.com, a leading manufacturer of hurricane protection, is proud to announce the release of its newest innovation AstroGuard.

AstroGuard, which is patent pending, is simply the lowest cost hurricane protection product certified for residential and commercial use in the High Wind High Velocity Hurricane Zones (HVHZ Approval #12573) such as Miami Dade County. Combined with the current climate of the world economy & HurricaneFabric.com's pursuit of constant innovation, the perfect storm has bred a product 30% stronger than its closest competitor at half the cost.

AstroGuard's is a resin coated Hybrid fabric which is a more expensive fabric to manufacture than traditional Polypropylene or geo-synthetic textile systems--but eliminates costly and unreliable sewing which other products need during the production process, so it can be delivered at a lower price point. AstroGuard is also less expensive than metal panels, which had been the lowest cost approved product for the past 16 years.

AstroGuard is a lightweight composite coated fabric. Weighing 0.5 lbs. per square yard, it provides a manageable alternative to traditional metal protection systems. For many homeowners, deploying traditional (heavier) metal or plywood hurricane shutters in the face of approaching hurricanes presents a dangerous challenge.
