Big plans chalked for 'MEGATECH Pakistan 2010'

The 8th International Machinery Exhibition of Garment & Textile Technology – 'MEGATECH Pakistan', is scheduled from 4-6 March 2010 at the Karachi Expo Centre, in Karachi, the 'Commercial Capital' of Pakistan.

Participation from local and international textile and garment machinery manufacturers, distributors, and importers are expected. Leading textile and garment manufacturers, key decision makers of the industry, and senior Government officials are the expected spectators of the event.

Inaugural ceremony will be done by the Honorable Minister of Textile Industry, Mr. Rana Mohammad Farooq Saeed Khan. The event will also be graced by the esteemed presence of Mr. Farkhand Iqbal, Joint Secretary Ministry of Textile Industry; Mr. M. Idrees Ahmed, Textile Commissioner and Mr. Abdul Majeed, Director Textile Research and Innovation Centre and Chairman Associated Textile Consultants.

The event is planned as the largest and all-embracing industry platform planned with an objective to bring together the best buyers and sellers from all across the globe.

Participation of more than 400 companies from 28 countries from all across the globe is anticipated like China, Turkey, UK, Germany and India to name a few. More than 8,000 trade visitors from the textile and garment industry are expected to attend the event.

Adding a feather to its cap, the event has also planned to organize the 3rd International Technical Textiles Conference which will acquaint the local industry with the emerging developments in technical textiles.

Local textile manufacturers, leading exporters, and key decision makers of the industry will be its key participants.
