Propylene prices in Far East region move back and forth

Propylene prices in the Far East region have been moving in a very narrow band since the last two weeks and are moving back and forth. On August 19, prices have slid back to the levels attained on August 5.
FOB South Korea slid back from US $1103-1104 per ton it had touched on August 12 to reach $1100-1102 per ton on August 19, the same price at which, it had closed on August 5.
Propylene prices in the US markets, however continued to shoot up for the second consecutive week and moved up from US cent 46.875-47.125 per lb recorded on August 12 to US cent 49.630-49.880 per lb on August 19.
