One-million tons ethylene project to start operations

Zhejiang's first one-million-ton ethylene project - Zhenhai Refining & Chemical ethylene project is into the concluding stages of the erection of machinery and equipment and is expected to be put into operation by the end of March next year.
The construction of the project began in November 2006 and has been set up at an investment of more than 20 billion Yuan and will also boost downstream industry by more than 1,000 billion Yuan.
Setting up of utilities like water, electricity, gas, air, nitrogen, storage, transportation systems have been fully completed and are being tested. The erection of the production lines too has reached their final stages.
This large ethylene project is expected to increase income of Zhenhai Refining & Chemical by more than 30 billion Yuan each year.
