An integrated Textile Park is likely to be set up at village Thathal in Amb tehsil of Una district by Himachal Textile Park Ltd. for establishing State of art manufacturing facilities over an area of 65 acres of land with emphasis on Technical Textile. This was revealed in the meeting of 46th State-level Single Window Clearance and Monitoring Authority Meeting (SLSWC&MA) here last evening which was presided over by Prof. Prem Kumar Dhumal, Chief Minister. Fourteen new proposals for setting up of different types of industrial units and one expansion proposal of the existing unit with total proposed investment of Rs. 73.52 crore and generating employment to 462 persons were cleared in the meeting.
Chief Minister said that the proposed integrated Textile Park would provide common infrastructure and facilities for setting up of the textile units by their member units creche etc. He said that the management of the proposed park would be investing Rs. 107 crore over the development of the Park where 2,200 persons would be engaged in different activities in the projects. He said that Park had been targetted for completion by the end of next financial year adding that with the establishment of the Textile Park new dimensions would be given to industrial development in district Una.
Prof. Dhumal said that keeping in view the best infrastructural facilities available and the industrial friendly environment of the State, large number of multinational companies were showing their keenness in making their investments in the industrial sector. He said that the objective of setting up of the State level Single Window Clearance and Monitoring Authority had been to examine all the proposals at one place and grant clearances for the same at the highest body constituted for the purpose.
Chief Minister said that the State Government had made concerted efforts to rise upto the expectations of the entrepreneurs and facilitate them by providing all basic amenities and administrative support near to their units so that they did not had to waste their time in visiting such offices located at far off places. He said that State Government had opened separate police and excise districts for the industrial areas, an independent teshil and drug controller office besides ensuring all other facilities they require for setting up of their units conveniently. He said that very frequently the teams of concerned officers had been visiting the industrialists to solve their various problems instantly.
He said that even he himself had attended various meetings of the industrialists organizations alongwith the team of high officers so that amicable solution was found to their various genuine grievances. He said that the State Government had been ensuring industrial peace, security and safety of the investors. He said that all such endeavours of the State Government had helped in building the trust of the entrepreneurs in the Government and had been instrumental in giving new directions to the industrial development in the State.
