Japan-Italy JV to produce high-grade knit yarn in China

A Japanese apparel manufacturer, Daidoh Ltd said that it had entered in to a partnership with an Italian woven-fabric manufacturer; Botto Giuseppe e Figli SpA to explore and expand in the Chinese knit clothing market.
Botto is expected to provide the planning, development and production know-how to Daidoh, through its three Chinese factories and produce high-quality knit yarn. The shipments are expected to begin early 2011.
The Chinese subsidiary of Daidoh will help in marketing the knitted yarn produced in these factories as well as those imported from Botto plants in other countries. They have targeted sales of US $10.7 million in 2012.
