Mill demand concentrated on dates after the works holidays in the reporting week. However few available lots have also been sold for prompt shipment / loading. The main interest was however directed on dates after the holidays. Preferably in focus were the earliest available shipments from the new crop. The sales figures reported on the fine/extra fine varieties could be interpreted as securing of quality and quantities of a shrinking market segment that still has its significance for the local consumers.

In the Upland range the conclusion of contracts was registered in central Asian sorts for prompt and for the 4th quarter 2010; West African styles for the end of the 3rd quarter 2010; USA cotton for the 3rd quarter 2010, and Greek descriptions for the 4th quarter 2010.

In the fine- / extra fine range were traded: Israel Pima for prompt; Israel ACALPI for the 1st and 2nd quarter 2011, and Sudan Barakat fo r the 4th quarter 2010 through 2nd quarter 2011.
