Nylon chip price trends dip

In Chinese market, Caprolactam price remained steady around 20700 / ton. Caprolactam spot buying market warmed up, due to improving sales of downstream products but speculators were still found unenthusiastic towards acceptance of price higher then contract price.
Due to strong recovery of spot buying and improved demand in chip market, the short term price outlook for Caprolactam became hopeful.
In Chinese market Nylon chips price moved up by RMB 200 / ton and new price assessed around RMB 22200 / ton. In Taiwan chip producers increased offer price for August to US $2700 / ton while trading remained steady in the range of $2630-2680 / ton.
In China, prices of Nylon POY, FDY and DTY prices remained stable around RMB 24,800 / ton, RMB 25,800 / ton and RMB 28,200 / ton, respectively.
In Asia, Nylon FDY 70 D / 24 F price continued to drop, and was assessed around $3.22-3.25 / kg, due to weak demand, but margins still remained relatively healthy.
