Technical Tour following the Plenary Meeting

The Organizing Committee in the United States has organized a superb technical tour of cotton production, research, harvesting, ginning and handling facilities.
The tour will commence on Saturday afternoon September 25 and continue through Monday afternoon September 27. Participants will return to Lubbock each evening. Participants may choose to attend only one or two days of the technical tour if they wish.
Participants should make travel plans, including hotel reservations, with these dates in mind. Space on the tour is limited to 50 persons, the capacity of one full-sized bus.
At its 506th Meeting in Suffolk, VA on July 16, 2010, the Standing Committee of the ICAC approved the Provisional Agenda for the 69th Plenary Meeting of the ICAC(International Cotton Advisory Committee). The theme of the meeting, “Cotton Industry Growth Through Global Unity,” emphasizes issues and concerns common to all in the cotton value chain that can be overcome through unified actions.
The Secretariat of the Committee publishes information related to world cotton production, supply, demand and prices, and provides technical information on cotton production technology.
