Asian CPL spot prices ascend

In Chinese market, Caprolactam (CPL) price remained stable around RMB 21950 / ton. In Asian market restocking demand supported the spot buying sentiment and spot offers increased to US $2620-2630 / ton and deals were reported in the range of $2590-2630 / ton.
In Chinese market, Nylon chip price remained steady around RMB 24000 / ton. On new expansion projects in China, Shandong Shifeng plans to bring in its 30 KTA plant on-stream in November 2010, and Shandong Xiangyu's 30 KTA plant is expected to be operational by the end of this year. Both are focused on industrial filament.
Nylon POY, FDY and DTY price remain steady around RMB 26400 / ton, RMB 27700 / ton and RMB 29200 / ton, respectively. With stabilizing feedstock markets, and current favorable margins, expect prices to remain close to the current level in the near term.
