Brand new British saris – winners in the latest British Sari Story national competition – will be on display this week at the Knitting and Stitching Show at Alexandra Palace, London. Our partner in the competition – sari retailer RCKC – has created the new saris in Delhi and done a simply amazing job. We aim to announce the overall winner on Friday.

We will need a team of about eight volunteers to help with the stand over the course of the show (6th October = set up, 7-10 October = show). Last year everyone had fun, I think. This year we'll be revealing the winners of the latest British Sari Story exhibition at the stand as well as one or two other exciting elements.

Bridging Arts is a not for profit social enterprise which tackles difficult issues in society with art and art-related activities. We give people without a voice a platform and the chance to speak out.

Established as the textile event of the year. The Knitting & Stitching Show is a feast for the eyes to anyone interested in textiles and craft! If you are passionate about stitching, knitting, quilting, crafts or any other form of textiles you'll find plenty to buy, workshops to attend and beautiful galleries to inspire. Plus there's a Swishing Salon to exchange quality clothing, fashion shows and installations.
