The campaign of the Goa Handicraft Corporation (GHC) during the recently completed Commonwealth Games has succeeded. This is expected to help the corporation's e-marketing strategy.
The Managing Director of Goa State Handicraft and Rural Small Scale Industries Development Corporation (GSHRSSIDC), Mr. Nikhil Desai, said that the Commonwealth Games had provided a good branding prospect for the corporation.
He further expressed his confidence regarding GHC's campaign held during CWG. According to him, the campaign will unquestionably assist handicrafts from Goa to get a boost, the results of which would come up soon. The e-marketing will soar up following the gestation time post-CWG, he added.
Under the massive campaign that GHC had launched during CWG, many brochures and pamphlets were distributed in Delhi. Brochures with a metro map of Delhi and details about handicrafts from Goa were distributed in several metro stations of the capital during the Games.
GHC had expected an increased consumer gathering in its Delhi emporium. It is, now, considering the improvement of its hold in Mumbai market by opening an emporium at Goa Bhavan. It has already submitted the file for seeking the consent of the State Government to open the emporium, informed Mr. Desai.
