Benzene prices mount, nylon chip stays steady

Benzene prices jumped up by US $10 to $990 / ton. Downstream buying intention was firm in benzene market. In Chinese domestic market, price was in the range of RMB 6800-6900 / ton and experts expect it touch RMB 7000 / ton in near future. In Korean market it was quoted around $975 / ton while in Rotterdam, it stood at around $1010 / ton.
Prices of Nylon POY, DTY and FDY were stable. In Chinese domestic market, they were assessed at around RMB 27200 / ton, RMB 30200 / ton and RMB 28200 / ton, respectively.
Caprolactam market was bullish, as sellers kept their offers in the range of $2750-2780 / ton, while buyers remained firm around $2735-2750 / ton. Price of Caprolactam in Chinese market stood at RMB 22750 / ton. The market sentiment was firm to steady, with healthy negotiating atmosphere.
Price of Nylon chip was stable at RMB 24500 / ton in Chinese market. Offer price in Chinese market was in the range of RMB 24000-24500 / ton. In export market, price was assessed in the range of $2830-2850 / ton.
