PX & PTA fall, ethylene stays unchanged

Paraxylene decreased by US $20 to $1360 / ton in S E Asian market. PX imported from the Korean market was around $1370-1375 / ton. Price declined mainly due to lack of demand and poor support from upstream.
In Asian market, PTA price declined sharply by $100 to $1280 / ton in S E Asian market. In Taiwanese market, PTA was offered around $1265 / ton and in Korean region, it was quoted around $1280 / ton.
Ethylene market remained unchanged and price was assessed around $955 / ton in S E Asian market. Price too declined in US and European market. In US market, ethylene price was around 52.25 cents/gallon while in European market it stood at around $1130-1135 / ton.
MEG market turned weak due to unfavorable market fundamentals and the offers prevailed around $1110 / ton. Buyers were waiting to see turnover of the main downstream market. Korean offers prevailed in the range of $1075-1100 / ton.
BGPET Chip was stable in F E Asian market, in the range of $1650-1670 / ton. Speculators expect comfortable level around $1450 / ton in near future.
