Polyester POY market stable

After the New Year holidays between February 7 and 11, the domestic polyester POY market remained stable, market quotation rose slightly and trade volume in the market still stood at a low level.
Production and sales rate was not high, business inventories were basically stable at a low level, but increased in comparison with the pre-holiday period.
Low-cost supply was small and there was no report of transaction. Strong raw material market drove the prices of polyester filament higher.
Latest POY prices slightly rose. POY100D/36F settled at 15,100 Yuan / ton, pre-offers were 15,200 Yuan / ton. POY150D/48F settled at 14,300 Yuan / ton, pre-offers were 14,400 Yuan / ton.
POY market is expected to remain stable and turn for a better situation in the short run.
