Filature Miroglio to substitute virgin PET yarns to Newlife

Filature Miroglio is collaborating with Avery Dennison, a recognized leader in branding and information solutions for the apparel industry, to develop care labels incorporating Newlife. Avery Dennison's innovative retail solutions can be found throughout apparel design, manufacturing, distribution and retailing processes.

Bekaert Textiles
Bekaert Textiles Europe presented “Second Life”, a fine collection of mattress tickings, using Filature Miroglio's top quality Newlife yarns. Filature Miroglio and textile producers Bekaert Textiles are looking at ways to reduce the ecological footprint of their industrial activity to improve their eco efficiency and to lead the way through smart sustainable solutions. “it was crucial for Bekaert European Ticking to engage in this project with the right partner”, says Philip Ghekiere, innovation manager of Bekaert Textiles “and our partner Filature Miroglio, with its Newlife platform, combines technical expertise, transparent quality assurance with inspiring enthusiasm.”

C.L.A.S.S.
Filature Miroglio is pleased to announce its participation in the C.L.A.S.S. platform project (Creativity, Lifestyle and Sustainable Synergy) in order to further leverage opportunities to create sustainable synergy in the industry using its Newlife range. C.L.A.S.S. is a global network of three showrooms in Milan, London and New York founded in 2007 which supports and promotes environmentally sensitive products for fashion, home and design through a wide range of eco-textiles, yarns, processes and services.

E. Boselli & C.
Among key weaving companies that have grasped the added value Newlife brings is E. Boselli & C., whose fabric collection is used in ladies outerwear, ladies & men underwear & leisurewear, sportswear and casual, homewear, home-furnishing. E. Boselli & C. is also the supplier of the Newlife fabric used to produce the Newlife bags that has been on stage at the Filature Miroglio booth at Expofil for the launch of Newlife. The Newlife bag is the first step of the joint development program between Filature Miroglio and E. Boselli & C. that will develop through 2011.
