WACKER to raise prices for VINNAPAS & VINNOL dispersions

WACKER POLYMERS is to raise its prices in Europe for VINNAPAS and VINNOL vinylacetate and acrylate based dispersions. Effective April 15, 2011, prices for vinylacetate and acrylate based dispersions will be increased by up to €80 per ton, or as customer contracts allow.
Despite ongoing cost optimizing measures and productivity improvements, this measure has been necessitated by the continued increase in raw-material. This price adjustment will further ensure con-stantly high product quality and technical innovations as well as optimum customer service and technical support.
VINNAPAS and VINNOL dispersions are applied in a broad variety of industries, ranging from adhesives, nonwovens, paints and coat-ings to paper, carpet and textiles.
WACKER POLYMERS is a leading producer of state-of-the-art bind-ers and polymer additives based on polyvinyl acetate and vinyl ace-tate copolymers. These take the form of dispersible polymer powders and dispersions, polyvinyl acetates, resins and solutions.
They are used in construction chemicals, paints, adhesives, lacquers, nonwov-ens, and in fiber composites and polymer materials based on renew-able resources.
