9. A PUBLIC HOLIDAY PERIOD means:
9.1. A period of three or more consecutive days covering a gazetted New South Wales public holiday and any adjacent weekend days (e.g. every long weekend and Easter); and
9.2. The period from 23 December to 3 January of the following year (inclusive).

QUEENSLAND

The Queensland Easter period applies from midnight Wednesday, April 20, through to midnight Wednesday, April 27 (The Easter period normally finishes midnight Tuesday, but has been extended this year because ANZAC Day falls within the Easter Period). Restrictions apply and special permits may be required. Cotton Australia advises to apply for these sooner rather than later.

Separate rules apply for agricultural vehicles operating under their own power, or being towed; and vehicles, such as cotton pickers, being “floated”.
