PX & PSF continue decline, PTA & MEG unchanged

Paraxylene market price declined to US$ 1525/ton, in tandem with energy market. In S E Asian region, price was quoted in between US$ 1520/ton and US$ 1530/ton. In the F E Asian market, price hovered in the range of US$ 1505/ton to US$ 1515/ton. In Chinese market price went down to US$ 1530/ton. Expected major decline in short term.

PTA markets remain unchanged, around US$ 1255/ton in Asian market. In Chinese market, PTA price opened around RMB 9900/ton but trading concluded in between RMB 9800/ton to RMB 9850/ton. In Asian market PTA price declined to US$ 1250/ton to US$ 1255/ton.

Ethylene price remained weak in S E Asian market and was marked in the range of US$ 1375/ton to US$ 1380/ton. F E Asian market price was in the range of US$ 1335/ton to US$ 1340/ton. In European international and domestic market, price turned soft around US$ 1540/ton and € 1125/ton, respectively. In USA market, ethylene was quoted around 65.25 cents/pound to 65.75 cents/pound.

MEG markets remain unchanged in global market in tandem with downtrend in allied PET raw material. In S E Asian region, MEG prices hovered in the range of US$ 1085/ton to US$ 1095/ton. In Indian markets, price of MEG inclined to around US$ 1085/ton to US$ 1090/ton and in Chinese market, MEG price stood in the range of RMB 8400/ton to RMB 8600/ton.

BGPET Chips price went down in S E Asian region and was in between US$ 1730/ton to US$ 1740/ton. In F E Asian markets, selling offers were around US$ 1735/ton for exportable goods. In Chinese market BG PET Chip was at RMB 12650/ton.

FGPET Chips prices in Korean markets tuned weak in the range of US$ 1660/ton to US$ 1670/ton and in Indian market; it was assessed in the range of US$ 1700/ton to US$ 1710/ton. In Chinese market FG PET Chip was at RMB 12300/ton to RMB 12400/ton.

PSF price declined, in Chinese market PSF offers hovered around US$ 1860/ton to US$ 1905/ton. In Indian market 1.4 D PSF was around INR 101.75/Kg. 1.4 D Super black was around INR 114.25/Kg. In S E Asian market PSF offers were around US$ 1850/ton.
