Expansion of PTA capacity at IRHR Rotterdam plant

The Board of Directors of Indorama Ventures PCL at their meeting dated 18 May 2011, has approved a Brownfield expansion of PTA production at its existing facility of Indorama Holdings Rotterdam B.V.(IRHR) with a capacity increase of 250,000 tons per annum.
This expansion is expected to be completed in 2014 and will take IRHR total capacity to 600,000 tons per annum and IVL's total PTA capacity in Europe to 792,000 tons per annum. IVL's second PTA plant at Ottana, Italy has a capacity of 192,000 tons per annum.
The decision to approve the expansion is motivated by the supply/demand dynamics within EU and to continue to deliver value to IVL customers by using the most efficient and sustainable business model.
The IRH Rotterdam PTA facility in located in Rotterdam, the Netherlands. The facility was acquired by Indorama Ventures in 2008 from Eastman Chemical Company. The IRH Rotterdam PTA facility provides raw materials to our PET business operations in Europe.
