PTA prices improve due to higher upstream energy rates

PTA prices went up in Asia in the last week due to higher upstream energy rates.

In FE Asia, average prices increased by US$ 5/ton and assessed at US$ 605/ton in the last week, a rise of 0.83 per cent over the price prevailing at the end of the previous week.

In SE Asia, average prices moved up by US$ 10/ton to US$ 625/ton in the last week, as compared to previous week, after a climb of 1.63 per cent.

In India, average prices soared by US$ 10/ton and quoted at US$ 630/ton in the last week, as compared to previous week, an increase of 1.61 per cent.

In China, average prices climbed up by US$ 5/ton and assessed at US$ 605/ton in the last week, registering a jump of 0.83 per cent from the previous week.
