Printing United, a new event operated by SGIA and NAPCO Media, will launch in Dallas, Texas, on October 23 - 25, 2019. Focusing on the opportunities presented by the convergence of printing technologies and markets. The event will cover print and finishing technologies in industry segments from apparel to graphic, packaging to commercial, and industrial.

Education will be the key to the Printing United experience, with 96 conference sessions, three pre-show intensive workshops, and dozens of show-floor amphitheatre presentations. The event is a strategic response to convergence taking place in the industry as print service providers (PSPs) seek to offer services and products beyond their traditional scope. As such, its diverse education will speak to the apparel decorating, graphics production, functional, and industrial printing, commercial printing, packaging printing, and in-plant communities, according to SGIA.

Among the conference sessions are ‘Positively Impact Your Bottom Line Today!’ with David Cranage, EFI; ‘Communicating with Consumers: What Agencies, Brand Owners and Marketers Want’ with Barb Pellow, Pellow & Partners; and ‘Elevating Your Applications to a Higher Profit’ with Becky McConnell, Fujifilm North America Corporation, graphic systems division.

On October 22, 2019, the day before Printing United opens, three half-day intensive programmes will kick off the experience: ‘Convergence Power Rankings: Where (and How) to Grow’ with IT Strategies’ Marco Boer; ‘Wide Format 101: Strategies for Success’ with SGIA’s Ray Weiss; and ‘Digital Textile Printing: What, Why and How’ with Keypoint Intelligence/InfoTrends’ Ron Gilboa.

Printing United’s three amphitheatres will feature research and exhibitor-led presentations addressing the apparel, industrial, graphics, commercial, and packaging printing communities in prominent locations on the show floor. Conference sessions are accessible with a Printing United Expo + Education Pass, which is free for SGIA members and available for non-members for $99 through September 10, 2019. (GK)
