Taiwanese firms to partake at Technotex 2016

Around 25 Taiwanese companies are expected to partake at upcoming Technotex 2016, the largest event of technical textile industry in India, organised by the ministry of textiles and FICCI from April 21-23 at Goregaon, Mumbai, according to the organisers of the trade show.

The companies would be showcasing their products from various sectors like nonwoven, technical fabric, nylon chips and yarn, TPU lamination and fabric, rainwear, FRP fiberglass fabric and yarn, carbon fabric and yarn, FRP machinery, fiberglass products, accessory, technology and equipment at the event.

The objective behind the participation of these companies is to showcase Taiwanese nonwoven technologies to Indian entrepreneurs as well as to those who already present in the sector. They would be presenting the latest fabric innovations and cost-effective technologies for producing various nonwovens.

Visitors will have the opportunity to see sophisticated fabrics for sportswear, home textile, workwear, outdoor wear, sanitary medical application, technical and functional fabrics.

The Technotex show comprises of an international exhibition, conference and seminars and is a common platform for interaction amongst stakeholders from across the global technical textile value chain, welcoming participants, visitors and other key decision makers from a diverse cross section of the technical textile industry.

This year, more than 15,000 business visitors are expected at the event, which focuses on promoting the technical textile industry to make India a manufacturing hub in the area of technical textiles under the “Make in India” initiative of government of India. (NA)
