World Textile Information Network (WTIN) and SDC International are partnering to organise a textile dyeing and finishing conference during the ITME 2016 exhibition on December 4, 2016.

The WTIN Textile Finishing Conference will focus on solutions to the wastewater problem that has become a major concern across Asia.

Expert speakers will discuss strategies and present case studies for reducing water use as well as for effective water treatment and recovery.

“A solution to the wastewater problem has become a pressing concern for many of the world's most important textile-producing regions,” WTIN managing director Mark Jarvis said.

“That solution may lie in better treatment and recovery, or it may lie in simply devising methods that require less water. This conference will explore both these approaches,” he added.

“Dyehouse waste water is both an international and consumer concern and so, innovative technology and approaches are required,” SDC International director, Dr Graham Clayton said.

“But with increased knowledge through an event such as this, companies can create huge positive impacts on their operation, profitability and competitiveness,” he too added.

WTIN has issued a call for papers from companies and organisations interested in participation in the conference. (AR)
