Welspun India FY20 income grows 3.4% to ₹68,362 mn

Welspun India, a home textiles company, posted 3.4 per cent growth in its total income to ₹68,362 million in fiscal 2020 ended on March 31, 2020 compared to income of ₹66,084 million in fiscal year. Company registered a net profit of ₹5,243 million (FY19: ₹2,261 million) in FY20. Profit before tax (PBT) for FY20 were ₹6,943 million (₹2,869 million).

Revenue of home textile segment for the year rose 2.3 per cent to ₹66,633 million (₹65,137 million). Flooring segment revenue jumped to ₹872 million (₹131 million).

For the fourth quarter (Q4) FY20, company’s income grew 4.0 per cent to ₹16,645 million (Q4 FY19: ₹16,009 million). PBT for the quarter were ₹1,103 million (Q4 FY19: ₹946 million).

“We have accelerated our journey towards digitalisation of all critical processes and functions within the company. We continue to focus on the enablers viz, innovation, branding and sustainability to consolidate our leadership position,” BK Goenka, chairman, Welspun Group, said in a press release.
