Unused quantitative limits for textile exports to US & EU

Trade and Industry Department, Hong Kong announces that the Department of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation of Guangdong Province issued a notice on 22 November 2006, stipulating that it will withdraw 2006 quantitative limits from enterprises with zero utilization rates as recorded in the license issuing system for textile exports to the United States and the European Union after 28 November 2006.
The quantitative limits so withdrawn will be made available for conditional application by enterprises in Guangdong.
The Trade and Industry Department is responsible for conducting Hong Kong's international trade relations, implementing trade policies and agreements, as well as providing general support services for industries and small and medium enterprises.
