It took nearly 10 months, but the Costume Institute has finally named Bernice Kwok-Gabel's successor. Nancy Aronson Chilton has joined the Costume Institute division of the Metropolitan Museum of Art as Senior Press Officer.
In her capacity, she will be in charge of public relations for exhibitions, as well as the Costume Institute's annual gala benefit—often dubbed the Oscars of the East Coast.
Aronson Chilton, who has been a writer and PR consultant for the last decade, spent seven years at Polo Ralph Lauren prior to going freelance, where she worked on worldwide publicity.
She will report to Elyse Topalian, Deputy Vice President and head communications offer of the Met. Kwok-Gabel left the Costume Institute in February to become the PR Director of Hermès USA.

The Metropolitan Museum of Art must rely on the generosity of its friends and supporters to meet the enormous cost of providing programs and services, year-round, to millions of visitors.
