Further to Commercial Information Circular No. 377/2005 of 17 September 2005, the European Commission (the Commission) has published a notice to initiate a reinvestigation of the anti-dumping measures imposed on imports of certain finished polyester filament fabrics originating in the Mainland of China. A copy of the notice is at Annex (pdf format) for reference.
DETAILS: Grounds for the Re-investigation: 2. On the basis of a request lodged by AIUFFASS on behalf of producers representing more than 30% of the total Community production of certain finished polyester filament fabrics, the Commission initiated a reinvestigation on 28 December 2006 to ascertain whether the existing anti-dumping measures have had an effect on export prices, resale prices or subsequent selling prices in the Community.
Background: 4. Definitive anti-dumping duty on imports of certain finished polyester filament fabrics originating in the Mainland of China has been imposed since 17 September 2005 at a rate of 56.2% of the net, free-at-Community-frontier price before duty (except for 45 companies with individual duty rates ranging from 14.1% to 56.2%).
