Consumer Unity & Trust Society (CUTS) Centre for International Trade Economics & Environment (CUTS CITEE) Jaipur, India is implementing the phase II of the project titled, "WTO Doha Round & South Asia: Linking Civil Society with Trade Negotiations". The project has been named as 'South Asia Forum for International Trade' (SAFIT-II ).
Under this project we have have come out with a briefing paper prepared by one of our partner titled "Negotiations on Non Tariff Barriers under NAMA: The Major South Asian Concerns".
This paper looks into the negotiations on Non Tariff Barriers under NAMA and the major concerns of South Asian countries in this respect. It concludes by saying that the future export expansion of South Asian countries depends on how effectively NTBs are addressed in present Doha round of Trade negotiations.
