MATAC (the training arm of MTMA) is organising the Intensive Menswear Pattern Drafting for Garment Manufacturers program at Cititel Penang (25, 26 & 27 October 2007).

This program covers basic pattern construction for shirts, pants and sportswear jackets in menswear. Participants will learn how to create different garment silhouettes using basic drafting construction and the application of ease. They will be taught how to use different rulers to shape the garment on paper patterns.
Program Objectives: Upon completion of this program, participants will be able to - Produce paper patterns for different types of shirts - Produce paper patterns for different types of pants - Produce paper patterns for different types of sportswear jacket - Understand anatomical application and fit problems of shirts and pants
Participants will be stimulated to participate with active interaction in hands-on and practical team activities including group discussions & presentations.
This program is catered for pattern drafters, designers, quality control personnel and those who are interested to understand how garments are constructed through the method of flat pattern drafting.
