New internationalisation manager for Chamber of Commerce

The Chamber of Commerce and Enterprise has engaged Mr Klaus M. Pedersen to assist Members in their endeavours to look beyond our shores to expand their business.

As part of its internal restructuring process, the Malta Chamber of Commerce and Enterprise has engaged Mr Klaus M. Pedersen as Trade, Investment and Internationalisation Manager to head the new Internationalisation Desk set up to assist Members in their endeavours to look beyond our shores to expand their business.

Funds from the HSBC support agreement announced recently are being used to set up this Trade and International Affairs Desk with the aim of promoting external trade and Investment. Chamber President Victor A.

Galea said that the project seeks to help member companies in internationalising their business operations by assisting them to tap new markets for products and services: invest overseas and find international trade or investment partners. While focusing on specific regional markets the Chamber will also provide market-research information.

“The Chamber intends to assist in the organisation of export promotion activities and trade exhibitions, and offer specialised training and mentoring. In Klaus, we have found an experienced professional with an insight into the way the Maltese market operates. We are positive that his engagement will bring along added value to the services we already offer to our members,” concluded Mr Galea.

Klaus M. Pedersen. Ms. Sc. (Int. Bus Adm.) has a Masters Degree in International Business Administration and Modern Languages from Aarhus School of Business, Denmark, having specialised in the field of International Strategic Management and the Internationalisation of SME's.

He has management experience from positions in various industries in both Denmark and Malta, specifically in outsourcing and international procurement as well as exports.
