Paraná state to lean about Arab trade market

The Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce office in the southern Brazilian state of Paraná, in the building where the Federation of Industries of the State of Paraná is located, intends to organize a trade mission to the Arab countries in March next year.

For the time being preliminary studies are taking place to find out the number of people who may participate and what countries should be visited.

According to the Arab Chamber Director in Paraná, Kamal David Curi, further details will be made public in the near future.

The initiative is part of the commemorations of the 20 years since the installation of the organization office in Paraná.

Inaugurated in November 1985, the CCAB branch consolidated itself as an important point of support to businessmen from Paraná interested in creating and establishing trade relations with the 22 countries in the League of Arab states. "We started from scratch and now have around 1,800 companies that export to and import from the region," stated Curi, who has been running the office since it was opened.

A member of the General Union of Chambers of Commerce Industry and Agriculture of the Arab Countries, the commercial branch of the League of Arab States, the Chamber's main reason is simplifying Brazilian exporter access to the Middle East and North Africa and of importers from the region with suppliers in Brazil. Apart from advertising business opportunities in both regions, the organization issues certificates of origin for exports to the Arab countries.
