Leather Co Irving & SSI join for regenerated leather products

Leather Manufacturer Irving Tanning Company (Irving) and Sustainable Solutions Inc (SSI) are pleased to announce their strategic partnership to produce a sustainable, regenerated leather product.
This effort utilizes by-products from leather product waste streams, SSI's proprietary technology, and Irving's finishing expertise.
The product is called Dilusso and was first utilized in Mazda's award-winning Kabura concept car at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit in January.
Together, SSI and Irving are looking to develop other applications for Dilusso beyond the automotive sector.
SSI's CEO, Jono Helmerich commented that they have been working with Irving to perfect Dilusso for the automotive industry and they are excited about the product's inclusion in the Mazda Kabura.
They are extremely excited about the breadth of uses for the sustainable, regenerated leather and their partnership with Irving.
Irving's management team embraced their concept of regenerated leather and brought their un-matched finishing creativity and expertise to finalize the product."
Irving's CEO, Dick Larochelle commented: "SSI brought us a truly revolutionary leather concept that can be crafted from existing waste streams that flow from their own manufacturing process.
They were able to utilize their creative finishing approaches to further enhance and expand the application of this sustainable product into target industries.
