Alps Industries plans to venture into retailing with an investment of Rs50 crore.
Company has allotted Rs250 crores for development in Punjab and is exploring best-suited sites.
The retail stores will mainly focus on promoting branded home furnishing, home decor and fashion accessories.
Two outlets are expected to be launched within next a couple of months and other stores in major cities will come up in the next two years.
Ghaziabad-based Alps Industries produces yarns, home furnishings, fashion accessories, and architectural products and enjoys over 35 percent of market share in soft windows covering segment under the Vista brand.
Its Le Pashmina brand offers a wide range of shawls in captivating shades and patterns from the skilled weavers of India.
Alps range of home furnishings and fashion accessories are exported to reputed lifestyle retail chains like JC Penny, Springs, Walmart and Homestead, and is recognized all over the world.
