RK Overseas to set up weaving unit in Punjab

R K Overseas plans to invest Rs5-6 crores to set up a plant that will provide spinning, weaving and dyeing facilities in Amritsar and is expected to be complete by March 2007.
The machinery will be imported from Switzerland and Germany.
Sunil Khanna, Managing Director, informed that the spinning unit will have 5000 spindles, with the production capacity of 4000 kilo gram of yarn per day while the capacity of the weaving unit would be around 2500 pieces per day.
Company has two units, one in Amritsar and the other one in Mumbai, manufacturing products like woollen and silk shawls, stoles, scarves, and handkerchiefs.
Amritsar-based, 100 percent export oriented company, exports products to countries like European countries including France, the US, Japan, Australia and Brazil.
