Pier 1 Imports declares conference call on April 6

Leading home furnishing maker Pier 1 Imports Inc announces that it will host a conference call on Thursday, April 6, 2006 at 10:00 a.m. (Central Time) to review fourth quarter and fiscal year 2006 results, as well as March sales for fiscal year 2007.
Press releases for the fourth quarter and fiscal year 2006 results, and the March sales, will be distributed before the market opens on April 6, 2006 followed by a conference call at 10:00 a.m. (Central Time).
The call will be broadcast live on the Company's website located at www.pier1.com linking through the "Investor Relations" page and the "Events" page. Also, you may listen via telephone at 1-800-498-7872 or if international dial 1-706-643-0435, and the conference ID number is 4637140. The teleconference will be held in a "listen-only" mode for all participants other than the Company's current sell-side and buy-side investment professionals.
