Indian Acrylics to export 50% of its produce after expansion

The company had set up a 7.5 MW husk based power plant in 2001-02 for its in-house consumption.
The company would sell surplus power of 8MW to PSEB (Punjab State Electricity Board) after the commissioning of the new power project.
The power project would require husk worth Rs35 crore annually helping farmers in turn.
The State Government would rake in additional revenue of about Rs300 crore in excise duty and service tax and value added tax revenue of Rs 14-15 crore in rice husk in the coming ten years.
Indian Acrylic Ltd expects State Government to sanction power from Sangrur to Lalru for its other group companies along with allowing subsidy in freight for transporting consignments to ports.
