Circular knit fabrics maker Fieratex sets in modernization mode

Textile leader from Greece, Fieratex is known for manufacturing circular knit fabrics having a vertically integrated, state of the art production facility.
Its range includes outerwear, underwear, sportswear, fashion and technical performance fabrics and has a capacity of producing 30 tons of finished fabric per day.
Company has embarked on an ambitious plan to modernize its machinery and add capacity by investing about US $1.9 million.
Plan will be in place by 2007 and media reports suggest that it will help the company bring out comprehensive and versatile range of textiles and knitted fabrics.
Meanwhile, the company website announces latest development in antimicrobial and Anti-odour fabrics with yarns, such as Bamboo, Coolmax Fresh FX, Meryl Skinlife.
These are also available in Durable Freshness by Ciba – [an antimicrobial finishes that inhibits the growth of bacteria, thereby retaining and maintaining freshness in garments and reduction in odours.]
Besides, a new Yoga Line and a new Active Sportswear line has been introduced with new constructions and finishes such as Lycra Body Care by Invista, as a value add for consumers well-being.
It has also introduced anti UV fabrics in Modal Sun and Supplex finishes.
The website goes to announce that during the Premier Vision Spring - Summer '07 in Paris last yearFieratex introduced extra fine gauge fabrics in Cotton, Cellulose and Man-made fibers.
Among fashion yarns, Extra Bright Viscose, Flame-Shantung-Viscose and Cotton Silk have been launched.
An innovative permanent moisture management features added polyester and nylon based fabric - AQUAMOVE - with new hydorphylic finish was offered recently.
AQUAMOVE fabrics are used by producers of performance sportswear and activewear.
Fieratex offers swing tickets that are also available free of charge for garments produced in fabrics with the AQUAMOVE finish.
