'PFAFF – THE NEW FACE' impresses at IMB 2006 show

With an appropriate product mix of standard and special high-speed sewing machines, integrated sewing workplaces, automatic sewing units and welding machines, the PFAFF INDUSTRIE MASCHINEN AG proved that it is an innovative pacesetter in the branch. Programmed welding, laser welding, ultrasonic welding with simultaneous edge trimming are world novelties, which impressed the visitors in Cologne.

Winning the IMB INNOVATION AWARDS 2006 was PFAFF's reward for its innovative power. It was awarded for the solution “Programmed welding with 100% parameter control”.

Of particular interest in the sewing sector were the new jacket dart sewer PFAFF 3519, the special high-speed upholstery sewing machine PFAFF 1525 with skip-stitch detection, thread nipper and large JUMBO-hook, and also the pocket setter PFAFF 3588 with enlarged sewing area (280x280mm) for bellow or cargo pockets.

More than 80% of the visitors came from abroad, many of them from Turkey and East Europe. One was particularly proud of the many visitors from India and South-East Asia who found their way to Cologne.
