Everest starts focusing on R&D

Textile major, Everest Textile Co Ltd had implemented Global Logistic System (GLM) several years ago through which it had achieved many milestones.
After implementation of GLM system, company benefited mainly in three major areas: system enabled to know inventory position, quick response to market and seek cheap materials.
At present company has started focusing on Research and Development activities to achieve high level growth for long-term basis.
In 2005, company had allocated NT$180 million, almost 3.5 percent of annual turnover for R&D work and targeted to extend this figure to 5 percent of annual turnover within next three years.
Company has employed some 52 highly educated and experienced engineers and researchers in R&D department.
Everest operates through four divisions procuring, technology research, brand marketing and logistic management.
Company had started technology center in 2002 for development of vital technologies and materials to help its Taiwan, Shanghai and Thailand production facilities and to achieve technology innovation.
At the research center company makes in-depth research, protect it through patent and commercialize those products.
Everest has obtained high quality standard and have no fear about cheap Chinese products.
Moreover, company participates in TITAS, held by the Taiwan Textile Federation at Taiwan World Trade Center Exhibition Hall as part of promotional marketing strategy.
Everest currently employes over 2,900 people globally in its three manufacturing factories in Taiwan, mainland China and Thailand as well as in its four marketing offices, and multiple virtual e-offices around the world.
