The Achern-based nonwovens manufacturer J.H. Ziegler GmbH & Co. KG will use the opportunity provided by the Techtextil to present new developments in all of its business units.

Last year, the corporate organisation was changed from a regional structure into a business unit structure in order to provide a more competent application-oriented advisory service.
At the Techtextil, new developments in the business units "Automotive", "Other industrial applications" and "Furniture" will be presented.

HACOflex 2930, a high-quality foam/nonwoven composite, has been developed for automotive seats. This product features excellent compression recovery and a very good drapability. It supplements the range of high-quality padding materials made of breathable and climatically effective polyester nonwovens used as padding under leather or to laminate the face fabric.

The business unit "Other industrial applications" proves its capabilities with products for the glass fibre-reinforced plastics industry. The assortment consists of a noticeably broadened range of products, including HACOloft PP coarse-fibre nonwovens (used as core materials), HACOloft surface nonwovens (surfacing veils) based on PES and PAN as well as the renowned absorptive breather nonwovens. New develop-ments will also be presented for other applications covered by this business unit, e.g. in the construction sector and for decorating.

Overall, Ziegler continued its upward rise with asustained growth of more than 5 percent and a total turnover of almost 12 million EUR. This growth was chiefly due to exports in the "Furniture" sector and particularly due to increases in the two business units "Automotive" and "Other industrial applications".

J.H. Ziegler is a modern manufacturer of technical nonwovens made of staple fibres. Even if the processing of natural fibres has been increasing in recent years, synthetic fibres, especially those based on polyester, are still the main raw material because of its convincing technical properties.
