Zhongheng introduces yarns for knit denim

Jeans, the most popular trouser made from denim, has carved a niche in the hearts of garment designers and customers. However, due to its less elasticity, stiffness, thickness and rough feel, the traditional bule jeans can be woven by machines only. Further, the breathability of the fabric is quite poor.

Recently, some Chinese private enterprises have accomplished innovating the improved knitted jean fabric by involving higher technology, making its quality much more versatile as compared to that of the denim.

Zhongheng Dyeing & Finishing Co Ltd, specializes in the dyeing, weaving and finishing of denim fabrics, has successfully developed yarns for knit denim. It imported main production equipment from the US, Germany, Belgium and Taiwan, including a ball warper dye range, 2 finishing lines and 3 starch-dyeing lines, which ensures the annual output of 36,000,000 meters denim fabric.

Zhongheng is now capable of an annual production of 3,000 tons yarns for knit denim and 5,000 tons of finished knit denim fabric.

Currently, around 95 percent knit jean fabric made by the Group is exported to other countries, but, since Chinese garment brands are gradually accepting this material, domestic apparel enterprises are showing interest and have started to purchase their product.
