Eskay Knit & NTC form JV to revive four textile mills

Eskay KnIT India Ltd has informed that the Board of Directors of the Company at its meeting held on June 09, 2009, inter alia, has transacted the following business:
1. The Board decided to appoint Shri. V Sridar, Former Chairman and Managing Director / Chairman of UCO Bank, as Additional Directors of the Company.
2. The Company has entered into a Joint venture agreement with National Textile Corporation (NTC) for the modernization and revival of the four textile mills viz.
i. Swadeshi cotton mills - Maunath Bhanjan, U.P..
ii. Laxmi Narayan Cotton Mills, Rishra Hooghly.
iii. Sodepore cotton mills, North 24 Pergans.
iv. Orissa cotton mills, Bhagatpur, Cuttack.
