Shri Lakshmi Cotsyn Limited (SLCL), an integrated textile player engaged in manufacturing and processing wide range of end-to-end textile products and technical textiles for the defence sector reported 16.02 % rise in net profit at Rs 23.24 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2010 as compared to Rs. 20.03 crore posted in the same period of last year.

Total revenue for the quarter stood at Rs 418.63 Crore a rise of 16.88 % as against Rs 358.16 Crore in the corresponding period last year.

The July to September period had been moderate for the company. According to Dr. M. P Agarwal, Chairman & Managing Director Shri Lakshmi Cotsyn Limited, “During the period we have sold out our value-added bed sheet products. The product has been well received by the market and we now have orders backlog.” Given the positive response, the company is planning organic growth in tier II cities over the next quarter.
