Cone Denim to install Sulzer's projectile weaving machines

Cone Denim Jiaxing Limited announced that the company will invest in latest projectile weaving machines from Sultex Limited.
Cone Denim is a Joint Venture of the International Textile Group (ITG), Greensboro North Carolina, United States and Novel Holding Ltd, Hong Kong.
The company will install 140 Sulzer Textil P7300HP machines in its new plant in Jiaxing, Zhejiang, P.R.China.
Cone Denim Jiaxing will be a state-of-the-art denim plant once the installation of the new Sulzer Textil P7300HP machines is completed in the second half of 2006.
The fully vertical textile mill, equipped with the latest technologies from spinning to finishing, will have a production capacity of approximately 27 million meters of premium, top quality denim per year. These denim fabrics will be supplied to the apparel industry producing most of the world-class Jeans brands.
Cone has produced denim fabrics for more than a century and has relied for decades on the pro-jectile technology in its weave rooms – the heart of the production. Asked, why the decision was in favour of the Sulzer Textil P7300HP, Mr. KC Chao, CEO of Cone Denim Jiaxing replied that they have committed to their customers that during early 2007 they will be producing in China the highest qual-ity fabrics for which Cone Denim has been known for over a century.
They have been operating the Sulzer projectile weaving machine at other locations for many years and have always been satis-fied by its performance and reliability. They know the quality of the machine itself, as well as the unique fabric quality produced with it.
